Every child follows a clear pathway, grouped by age and proficiency so lessons always meet them where they are.

Quranic Studies

Our Quranic Studies programme takes each child from letter recognition to fluent, rule-based recitation of the Mushaf.

Beginner — Qaidah

  • Recognition and articulation of the Arabic alphabet.
  • Correct points of articulation (Makharij) for each letter.
  • Short vowels, Tanween, and long vowels.
  • Sukoon, Shaddah, and syllable joining.

Intermediate — Tajweed

  • Rules of Noon Sakinah and Tanween.
  • Rules of Meem Sakinah.
  • Qalqalah, Madd, and the characteristics of letters.
  • Applying rules while reading short Surahs.

Advanced — Recitation of the Mushaf

  • Fluent reading directly from the Quran.
  • Refinement of pronunciation and rhythm.
  • Regular revision and one-to-one reading with the teacher.

Islamic Studies

A structured grounding in belief, worship, prophetic history, and everyday Islamic practice.

Aqeedah — Belief

  • Tawheed: the Oneness of Allah.
  • The six articles of faith.
  • The Six Kalimas and their meanings.
  • Names and attributes of Allah.

Fiqh — Practice

  • Purification (Taharah) and Wudhu.
  • The five daily prayers and their conditions.
  • Fasting, Zakat, and Hajj in age-appropriate detail.
  • Duas for daily life.

Seerah & History

  • The life of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
  • Stories of the Prophets.
  • Lives of the Companions and their example.

Akhlaaq — Character

  • Islamic manners at home, in the Masjid, and in public.
  • Respect for parents, elders, and teachers.
  • Memorised Hadith with explanation and application.

Tahfiz al-Quran

A dedicated memorisation pathway for students who have completed Qaidah and read fluently.

The Memorisation Process

  • Sabaq — the new lesson memorised each day.
  • Sabaq Para — recent memorisation revised daily.
  • Manzil — long-term revision of completed portions.
  • Regular assessment with the Hifz teacher.

Groupings

  • Students are grouped by age and proficiency, not only by age.
  • Small groups allow individual attention and pacing.
  • Progress is recorded in the madrasa planner and shared with parents.

The eleven Qaidah levels

Beginners progress through these levels one at a time. A child only moves forward once their teacher is satisfied with their pronunciation and fluency.

    Arabic Alphabet

    Recognising and pronouncing all 28 letters in isolation.

  2. 2

    Joined Letters

    Reading letters connected in two- and three-letter combinations.

  3. 3

    Fathah, Kasrah, Dammah

    The short vowels and their correct sounds.

  4. 4

    Tanween

    The double vowels and where they appear.

  5. 5

    Long Vowels (Madd)

    Alif, Waw, and Ya as elongation letters.

  6. 6

    Sukoon (Jazm)

    Reading letters without a vowel and joining syllables.

  7. 7

    Shaddah (Tashdeed)

    Doubled letters and how they change the rhythm.

  8. 8

    Shaddah with Tanween & Madd

    Combining rules within a single word.

  9. 9

    Rules of Noon Sakinah & Tanween

    Izhaar, Idghaam, Iqlaab, and Ikhfaa.

    Rules of Meem Sakinah & Qalqalah

    Echoing letters and lip-based rules.
